Our client is seeking an experienced attorney specializing in federal criminal law to join their growing legal team. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of federal criminal law experience, with a preference for candidates licensed in both New York (NY) and New Jersey (NJ). This role will focus primarily on federal defense in white-collar criminal cases, providing cutting-edge legal assistance to a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in federal court proceedings with a focus on white-collar criminal cases, including fraud, embezzlement, and other corporate crimes.
- Analyze federal statutes and regulations to develop defense strategies tailored to each case.
- Draft and file motions, briefs, and other legal documents relevant to federal criminal cases.
- Conduct legal research and provide clear, concise counsel to clients on complex federal criminal law matters.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on case strategy, offering insight from previous federal criminal defense experience.
- Maintain ethical standards and comply with all federal and local regulations governing legal practice.
Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor degree (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensing: Active bar membership in NY and NJ preferred; must be licensed in at least one of these two jurisdictions.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of legal practice specializing in federal criminal law. Direct white-collar crime defense experience is strongly preferred.
