We are seeking a SQL Server / Data Architect to join our team and lead performance optimization, data modeling, and SQL Server query enhancements in a cloud-based Azure SQL Server environment. This role is heavily focused on database engineering, requiring expertise in troubleshooting performance issues, collaborating with engineers, and optimizing SQL solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize SQL Server queries and data models for performance and scalability.
- Work on a SQL Server data archiving project and enhance database support.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to understand business requirements and develop SQL-based solutions.
- Translate existing Oracle-based features to SQL Server, ensuring seamless integration.
- Troubleshoot database performance issues and propose strategic improvements.
- Coordinate with India-based teams and in-house Oracle experts, requiring some flexibility in working hours.
Requirements:
- Expertise in SQL Server, with a strong focus on performance tuning and data modeling.
- Deep experience in database engineering, diagnosing performance issues, and optimizing SQL queries.
- Cloud experience with Azure SQL Server.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers and understand complex business requirements.
- Oracle knowledge is a plus, but SQL Server expertise is the priority.
