Robert Half has a client in the East metro with a permanent SQL DBA opening. We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Database Administrator in Saint Paul, Minnesota, 55116, United States. As a Database Administrator, you will have a critical role in managing SQL Server databases throughout different stages of the product life cycle. You will also be expected to monitor system performance and security, and provide end-to-end solutions for various issues.
This is a small-mid size organization with a range of about 30 SQL Servers running version 2016-2022. You would be the sole SQL DBA responsible for managing and supporting this environment.
Responsibilities :
Management of SQL Server databases across multiple product life cycle environments
Implementation of database backup and security procedures
Maintenance of database servers and processes to ensure optimal performance and security
Application of data modeling techniques to ensure development support meets integration and performance expectations
Calculation of optimum levels for database parameters such as computer memory and CPU usage
Resolution of issues in real time and assistance with root-cause analysis
Automation of regular processes and documentation of data architecture and change control
Assistance to developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement
Provision of on-call support for critical production systems
Execution of scheduled maintenance and support for release deployment activities after hours.

Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft SQL Server is mandatory.
Experience with MySQL is highly desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge in Optimization and AB Testing is required.
