Description
We are in search of a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in GLEN COVE, New York. This role involves managing the overall IT infrastructure and assisting with daily IT operations across various departments. This is a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Assist with technology needs and support projects across different departments
Oversee the installation and management of VOIP telephone system
Handle the management of physical and virtual servers, SAN storage, cloud backup, Active Directory, ESXi, Windows server, routers, switches, WAPs, license management, print management
Carry out disaster recovery operations and data backups as required
Terminate and diagnose Category 6A Ethernet cable
Manage Physical and virtual security using best practices, hardware and software firewall technologies
Provide face to face service level 1, 2 and 3 to support faculty, staff, students, and visitors to the campus, including but not limited to: laptops, desktops, workstations, laser printers, 3D printers, plotters, scanners, fax machines, cell phones, tablets, projectors, smart displays, and audio-visual
Configure and test networking software, computer hardware, operating system software, and computer disk imaging
Maintain common areas across campus including classrooms, computer labs, auditorium, library, and meeting rooms
Manage email system through Google apps and Outlook.
Requirements
Proficiency in Android Development is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of Cisco Technologies is essential.
Experience with Citrix Technologies is a must.
Familiarity with Computer Hardware is needed.
Proficiency in Dell Technologies is mandatory.
Experience in Active Directory management is required.
Knowledge in handling and troubleshooting Apple Devices is necessary.
Understanding of Backup Technologies is crucial.
Solid experience in Configuration Management is required.
