We are offering an exciting opportunity in the financial industry located in Hauppauge, New York. The role of the Director of Accounting will involve leading a team and overseeing accounting processes within a dynamic workplace.
Responsibilities :
- Leading a team of accounting staff members, providing mentorship and ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Executing the month-end close process with high accuracy and timeliness, in adherence with financial regulations and company policies
- Collaborating closely with company leadership to provide financial insights and assist in developing financial projections that align with growth objectives
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline accounting operations and enhance internal controls
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing detailed financial reporting to internal stakeholders for informed strategic decision-making
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as auditing and budget processes
- Utilizing accounting software systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, and CRM for efficient accounting functions
- Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting leadership role.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must.
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.
- Familiarity with Concur software is necessary.
- CRM proficiency is a key requirement.
- Demonstrable expertise in managing Accounting Functions.
- Extensive experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP).
- Proven track record in managing Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Must have considerable experience in Auditing.
- Experience in Budget Processes is crucial.
