Robert Half's marketing & creative client is looking for an Editor for a 3 month contract. This is an onsite, 40-hour-per-week position; candidates must be willing and able to work onsite 5 days per week. The Editor will be responsible for overseeing production processes, manuscript editing, project workflows, and new title launches. The will also collaborate with internal and external vendors and stakeholders on project status, ensuring materials are ready for publication.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage book production from kickoff through delivery
- Edit according to Chicago Manual of Style
- Collaborate with authors, proofreaders, and designers
- Work with marketing and sales teams to develop marketing strategies
Requirements
- Degree in communication, writing, or related
- 2 years of editorial experience within a publishing or education industries
- Deep knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style
- Familiarity with project management tools like Workfront, Monday.com, or similar
- Experience tracking changes within Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat
- Detail-oriented
- Highly organized
- Familiarity with style guides and experience in developmental editing
- Excellent communication and project management skills
