Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our team in a full-time hybrid role based in Garden City, NY with flexibility for remote work when there are no court dates or client meetings. The attorney will handle a variety of family law cases, including dissolution, custody disputes, support matters, adoption, and asset division. This role requires a commitment to client service, collaboration, and delivering high-quality legal representation.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law matters, including contested and uncontested divorces, custody disputes, adoptions, and marital property agreements.
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and agreements.
- Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to interrogatories and conducting depositions.
- Advocate for clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Provide guidance on complex cases involving high-net-worth asset division.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
Qualification:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in family law practice, including contested and non-contested divorce, guardianships, and adoptions.
- Expertise in drafting motions, conducting depositions, and handling high-net-worth asset division cases.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in the NY State Bar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Salary : $120,000 - $200,000
