Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular financial forecasts and insights to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Grant and Contract Management: Manage financial aspects of grants and contracts, ensuring compliance and reporting requirements are met.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Provide strategic financial analysis and guidance on decision-making initiatives, including programmatic investments and fundraising activities.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
- Experience with grant accounting and compliance.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
