Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all general ledger activity and ensure that all month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations, are completed in a timely manner.
Prepare, analyze and present financial reports (income statements and balance sheets) in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all donor segments.
Collaborate with senior leadership in strategic decision making and operations as the company continues to scale activities for growth and liaise with senior leadership on financial planning and budgeting.
Work alongside the CEO and COO for growth initiatives and provide strategic oversight of the company's financials.
Ensure that the company is adhering to the budget by developing internal control guidelines, policies and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities.
Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
Supervise two employees, ensuring clear direction, timely feedback, development and performance management.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA would be a big plus.
A proven track record in a Controllership capacity with at least 8-10 years of progressively responsible accounting experience within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Proficient knowledge of accounting software, MS Excel and familiarity with financial accounting statements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong reporting skills.
Strong reconciliation and journal entry skills. Knowledge of month-end close process is essential.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of integrity and discretion.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; a team player who can also be an effective individual contributor.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
