Robert Half is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven General Ledger Accountant to oversee and manage our general ledger activities. The role will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. Responsibilities :
- Maintain, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in a timely manner.
- Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and variance analyses.
- Reconcile complex accounts, including fixed assets, inventory, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions.
- Support the preparation of tax filings, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments for financial questions, audits, and reporting needs.
- Continuously improve processes to increase efficiency and accuracy in the general ledger functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or other relevant certification preferred but not required.
- years of professional accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger functions.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
