Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) (Source: U.S. Department of Labor).
- Supervise the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely outcomes.
- Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate variances to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll to facilitate seamless reporting.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies to mitigate risk.
- Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations for the accounting team.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and lead the implementation of new accounting standards, as needed.
SALARY RANGE: $115,000 - $135,000

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in financial software systems (i.e., ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements (Source: AICPA Standards).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Experience in a fast-paced or multi-entity environment is a plus.
