Responsibilities
- Research and identify new grant opportunities
- Draft compelling and competitive grant proposals
- Submit completed grant proposals in a timely manner
- Secure foundation and corporate grants
- Monitor and manage active grants
- Maintain accurate records of all submitted, secured, and pending grants
- Collaborate with the team to gather necessary information for grant proposals
- Follow up on submitted proposals and provide feedback to the team
- Stay updated with the latest trends and changes in grant writing
- Ensure all grant information is accurate and submitted according to guidelines.
- Demonstrated proficiency in grant writing
- Proven track record of securing grants from both private and public sectors
- Exceptional research skills to identify potential grant opportunities
- Proficient understanding of budgeting and financial reporting
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software
- Knowledge of the non-profit sector and fundraising strategies
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex documents
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field
- Experience in project management would be advantageous
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of the grant application process from start to finish
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- High level of self-motivation and initiative
