HR Generalist

Salary: $24.70 to $28.60 hourly

Description

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Manassas, Virginia. This Contract-to-permanent position is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting HR operations, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
• Facilitate new employee orientations to ensure a smooth transition for incoming team members.
• Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, troubleshooting, and employee communication.
• Provide occasional support with payroll processing and related audits.
• Conduct audits of HR programs, including payroll and benefits, and recommend necessary improvements.
• Collaborate with department supervisors to plan staffing needs and long-term recruitment strategies.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and company policies.
• Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
• Assist in fostering a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
• Address employee relations issues and provide guidance to resolve conflicts effectively.
  
  
  

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in human resources, including recruitment and benefits administration.
• Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as ADP Workforce Now and other HR management systems.
• Strong knowledge of compliance requirements, including FMLA and other labor laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing and onboarding.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• A compassionate and efficient approach, particularly suited for working with diverse populations.
