We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Manassas, Virginia. This Contract-to-permanent position is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting HR operations, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Facilitate new employee orientations to ensure a smooth transition for incoming team members.
- Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, troubleshooting, and employee communication.
- Provide occasional support with payroll processing and related audits.
- Conduct audits of HR programs, including payroll and benefits, and recommend necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with department supervisors to plan staffing needs and long-term recruitment strategies.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and company policies.
- Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
- Assist in fostering a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
- Address employee relations issues and provide guidance to resolve conflicts effectively.
- At least 3 years of experience in human resources, including recruitment and benefits administration.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as ADP Workforce Now and other HR management systems.
- Strong knowledge of compliance requirements, including FMLA and other labor laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing and onboarding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- A compassionate and efficient approach, particularly suited for working with diverse populations.
