What are the responsibilities and job description for the In House Counsel position at Robert Half?
A growing real estate company in Orange County is seeking a highly motivated CA-licensed In-House Counsel, seeking an attorney ideally with 5-8 years of experience. In this role, you will play a key role in managing all aspects of legal affairs related to real estate transactions and property management.
Please do not apply with fewer than 3 years or more than 10. Please also do not apply without prior law firm experience.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and advise on real estate-related contracts, as well as supplier agreements, service provider agreements, IT/tech agreements, office leases, and more.
- Manage and provide legal advice on real estate disputes, including eminent domain proceedings, easements, access agreements, and property & asset management issues. You will work collaboratively with outside counsel as needed.
- Assist with due diligence review for large-scale real estate transactions.
- Negotiate and manage leases.
- Stay up-to-date on current residential real estate laws and regulations.
^ Pay is contingent upon fluency with the duties above handling real estate transactions, and caliber of firms/companies worked at.
Details of Role:
· Hours: Roughly 8am to 5pm. There could be some flexibility on start/end time, but should be general business hours. Minus certain busy seasons, crazy OT is not the norm.
· Hybrid Schedule: Monday and Friday from home, Tuesday thru Thursday in the office (Tustin)
· Profile that would be a fit:
o 5-8 years of corporate transactional experience, at a firm or company
o Professional service mindset, do-it-all mentality (not someone who says “that is not in my job description”)
o Someone who believes in the benefits of AI and technology (not someone who fights it)
- Knowledge of data privacy laws is helpful
- Exposure to anything AI-related adjacent to legal/contracts/compliance is nice-to-have
