We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an in-house real estate paralegal in Los Angeles, California. This role is primarily focused on handling litigation documents, eFiling in the state court of California, managing unlawful detainer documents, drafting pleadings and propounding and responding to discovery. This paralegal will also be tasked with understanding and working with commercial real estate leases, including drafting lease amendments and extensions. This role is hybrid in downtown Los Angeles and if the contract period is successful may result in a permanent opportunity.Responsibilities• Handle a variety of litigation documents as part of the daily tasks• Work efficiently with eFiling in the state court of California • Manage unlawful detainer documents as required• Deal with various lease judicial counsel forms• Learn and adapt to working with commercial real estate leases• Draft and amend leases as part of the real estate leasing process• Handle lease renewals and tenant leases as part of the role.
