Responsibilities
- Evaluating system configurations, security controls, and data integrity as part of IT application audits.
- Implementing IT General Controls (ITGC) testing in the internal control assessment process, including controls pertaining to SOX compliance.
- Assessing controls within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), focusing on change management, system implementation, and application security.
- Contributing to the planning of IT audit engagements through risk assessments.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify control gaps, recommend process improvements, and monitor remediation efforts.
- Preparing clear and concise audit documentation, reports, and findings in accordance with internal audit standards.
- Enhancing audit procedures through the automation and application of data analytics tools and innovative techniques.
- Building strong relationships with IT and business teams to facilitate effective communication and successful audit execution.
- Participating in ad-hoc projects and investigations as necessary.
- Proven experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a similar IT auditor role.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing Audit Programs.
- Strong knowledge and experience in formulating Audit Plans.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive and detailed Audit Reports.
- Proficiency in IT Audit practices and principles.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
