Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an IT Auditor in the insurance industry, to be based in Warren, New Jersey. The role will involve conducting various IT audits, assessing IT risks, and improving control mechanisms within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating system configurations, security controls, and data integrity as part of IT application audits.
• Implementing IT General Controls (ITGC) testing in the internal control assessment process, including controls pertaining to SOX compliance.
• Assessing controls within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), focusing on change management, system implementation, and application security.
• Contributing to the planning of IT audit engagements through risk assessments.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify control gaps, recommend process improvements, and monitor remediation efforts.
• Preparing clear and concise audit documentation, reports, and findings in accordance with internal audit standards.
• Enhancing audit procedures through the automation and application of data analytics tools and innovative techniques.
• Building strong relationships with IT and business teams to facilitate effective communication and successful audit execution.
• Participating in ad-hoc projects and investigations as necessary.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a similar IT auditor role.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing Audit Programs.
• Strong knowledge and experience in formulating Audit Plans.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive and detailed Audit Reports.
• Proficiency in IT Audit practices and principles.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
