We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee and actively contribute to the technical operations of our organization in Newark, Delaware. This role requires a hands-on individual who can manage systems while directly engaging in technical tasks. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain 100 Windows servers and 8 Oracle Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Transition on-premises Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint systems to cloud-based solutions by established deadlines.
- Oversee VMware infrastructure and Dell hardware, making strategic decisions regarding equipment lifecycle and upgrades.
- Lead a team of two system administrators and one helpdesk technician, providing guidance and support.
- Implement and monitor backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes across multiple sites.
- Ensure proper configuration and management of Active Directory, Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager, and shared storage solutions.
- Administer Microsoft 365 applications and services, including authentication and authorization protocols.
- Collaborate on automation initiatives to streamline IT operations for 250 users.
- Maintain server rooms and disaster recovery sites, ensuring physical environments meet operational requirements.
- Provide hands-on support for helpdesk operations when needed, addressing user issues promptly and effectively.
- Extensive experience with Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and Oracle Linux.
- Proficiency in managing VMware infrastructure and Dell hardware.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange and SharePoint Online.
- Hands-on expertise in backup technologies, disaster recovery planning, and shared storage solutions.
- Familiarity with Cisco technologies, cloud platforms, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage IT operations for mid-sized organizations.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills, with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
