IT Security Analyst

Salary: $75000.00 to $85000.00 yearly

Description

We are in the market for a proficient IT Security Analyst to join our team within the Mortgage Companies industry. Our workplace is located in San Antonio, Texas, 78248, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for network monitoring, intrusion detection analysis, and maintaining security across various platforms and environments.

Responsibilities

• Utilize computer network defense tools for monitoring and detecting intrusions in our system
• Deploy and manage cloud-centric detection to identify threats in cloud environments
• Analyze and correlate activity across assets and environments to spot patterns of unusual activity
• Document formal, technical incident reports based on alerts and data from sensors
• Collaborate with threat intelligence and threat-hunting teams to ensure comprehensive security
• Provide incident response support to network subscribers, including mitigating actions for containment and facilitating forensics analysis
• Work with security information and event management (SIEM) systems to manage, tune, and actively watch for alerts
• Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of incidents
• Participate as a member of the Incident Response Team to handle security incidents effectively
• Perform security standards testing against computers before implementation to ensure security
• Ensure authorized access by revoking improper access, reporting violations, and suggesting improvements
• Utilize skills in Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Technologies, Cloud Technologies, Firewall Technologies, AB Testing, Auditing, AWS Technologies, and Configuration Management to maintain cybersecurity.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security, preferably within the mortgage industry
• Proficiency in Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and other Cisco Technologies
• Experience with Cloud Technologies, including AWS Technologies
• Knowledge of Firewall Technologies for securing network infrastructure
• Familiarity with AB Testing methodologies and techniques
• Prior experience in Auditing, with a focus on IT security audits
• Expertise in Configuration Management for ensuring system security
• Strong understanding of Cyber Security principles and best practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Relevant detail oriented certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CompTIA Security would be a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Familiarity with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.) is preferred
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology and security measures.
