Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst with expertise in SQL and Power BI to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in analyzing and visualizing data, generating insights, and supporting business decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Query, manipulate, and analyze data using SQL (joins, inserts, updates, stored procedures).
- Develop, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards in Power BI to provide actionable insights.
- Clean, transform, and prepare datasets for reporting and analysis.
- Assist in data validation, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Work with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into visual reports.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and patterns to support business decisions.
- Document data processes and ensure best practices in data management.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a data analysis role.
- Proficiency in SQL (writing queries, working with relational databases).
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (creating dashboards, DAX calculations, data modeling).
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, macros are a plus).
- Understanding of data visualization best practices and reporting principles.
- Experience with ETL processes and data transformation is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud databases (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Exposure to business intelligence tools beyond Power BI (Tableau, Looker, etc.).
