As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys and paralegals in thetrusts and estates practice group. You will be tasked with preparing and reviewing various documents and effectively prioritizing your workload to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities
- Proactive support to attorneys and paralegals in the trusts and estates practice group.
- Preparation and review of documents, letters, and memoranda using word processing software and document management systems.
- Drafting and electronic filing of various court pleadings and filings.
- Management of incoming mail, including sorting, circulating, drafting responses, and appropriate saving.
- Assembly, mail, and saving of estate-planning documents like wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, and various types of trusts.
- Prioritizing work effectively and monitoring deadlines and calendars.
- Processing requests for payment and reimbursements.
- Entering attorney billable hours into the firm's billing program.
- Creation, maintenance, and retirement of files in accordance with the firm's Information Governance Policy.
- Utilizing various skills such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), Case Management Software, CompuLaw, Billing Functions, Calendar Management, Claim Administration, Client Relations, and Communication.Our l
- Previous role as a Legal Assistant or a similar legal support role, Trust & Estate Planning preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office experience, particularly Word and Outlook
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat for document creation and editing
- Knowledge of Case Management Software to organize and manage legal cases
- Ability to use CompuLaw for effective risk management
- Experience in Billing Functions within a legal context
- Skilled in Calendar Management to coordinate meetings and schedules
- Expertise in Claim Administration for processing and managing legal claims
- Strong Client Relations skills to maintain and nurture client relationships
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear and concise information exchange
