Responsibilities
- Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of client bills, with a focus on immigration case billing
- Manage electronic submissions of client invoices and accruals via various e-billing platforms, ensuring all actions align with immigration billing requirements
- Serve as a point of contact for accounting and billing questions, specializing in inquiries related to immigration billing
- Review, edit, and approve pre-bills in response to requests from attorneys and secretaries, primarily for immigration-related cases
- Handle and process a high volume of complex bills, particularly those related to immigration
- Review and verify the accuracy of billing and supporting documentation, ensuring adherence to immigration laws and regulations
- Undertake special projects and generate ad hoc reports as requested by the manager
- Provide outstanding client service, meet high quality standards for services, and exceed client expectations, particularly in relation to immigration cases
The ideal Legal Billing Associate candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.
Other requirements for the Legal Billing Associate position include and are not limited to:
- 3 years of experience
- Law Firm focus on immigration experience preferred.
- Collection experience in immigration law preferred
- Aderant, and eBilling vendor application experience preferred.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet deadlines, independently and in a team environment.
