Calling all eager and ready-to-work candidates! We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Legal Secretary in a Maryland-based firm with the possibility of going permanent. In this role, you will be tasked with supporting one of the top contributors in the firm by handling various administrative and clerical duties. This will include processing and managing various legal documents, responding to inquiries, and maintaining quality control within the firm.Candidates who have the ability to be adaptable and pivot tasks within their role will be successful. We are minimally looking for someone with experience in clerical, administrative, legal or medical fields. Responsibilities:Ensuring accurate record-keeping and document management within the firm.Addressing inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner.Calendaring and scheduling for attorneys.Physical filing and e-filing through MD Electronic Courts (MDEC). Opening and scanning incoming mail and filings.Utilizing corporate secretary skills to manage switchboard and phone lines.Assist with billing and timekeeping needs. Data entry via Microsoft Excel as needed.Supporting attorneys with any and all clerical or administrative tasks.
