About The Role
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, with specific exposure to fiduciary law. This position offers the opportunity to represent businesses in sophisticated disputes, contribute to strategic case development, and work within a firm that prioritizes collaboration and career longevity.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in state and federal courts across all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation counseling, discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
- Work on claims involving fiduciary duties, shareholder disputes, breach of contract, and other business-related disputes.
- Counsel clients regarding fiduciary obligations involving trustees, board members, corporate officers, and business partners.
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
- Develop case strategies in collaboration with partners and communicate effectively with clients to meet their objectives.
- Negotiate settlements in complex business disputes and fiduciary-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New Jersey State Bar in good standing. Admission to New York State Bar is a plus.
- 3 years of experience in commercial litigation with specific exposure to fiduciary law.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Excellent academic credentials.
