Litigation Paralegal

Salary: $30.00 to $40.00 hourly

Description

We are in search of a Litigation Paralegal to support our law firm client in the Los Angeles area. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role supporting litigation case management, responding and propounding to discovery, reviewing and summarizing medical records and preparing for depositions and trial. This role offers a is ideal for candidates seeking onsite opportunities but may consider hybrid candidates for this contract opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Handling discovery requests and responses efficiently
• Drafting complaints with a high degree of accuracy
• Managing medical records for ongoing cases
• Administering claims and ensuring they are processed correctly
• Utilizing Adobe Acrobat and CompuLaw for various tasks
• Performing billing functions as necessary
• Preparing court filings and ensuring they are submitted on time
• Managing calendars to keep track of important dates and deadlines
• Communicating effectively with clients and team members
• Maintaining a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
  
  
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat is necessary
• Demonstrated experience with CompuLaw is required
• Ability to handle billing functions effectively
• Strong skills in briefing and presenting case arguments
• Competency in calendar management and scheduling
• Experience in claim administration is essential
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with discovery processes in litigation
• Ability to manage discovery requests efficiently
• Experience in generating discovery responses is required
• Proficiency in handling and interpreting medical records
• Experience in complaint handling and resolution
• Skilled in using Microsoft Outlook for correspondence and scheduling
