We are in the process of recruiting a Paralegal to integrate into our team in Seattle, Washington. This role centers on supporting our litigation team through various tasks such as processing legal documents, maintaining client records, and facilitating communication between various parties.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Establish effective communication channels with clients, advisors, opposing counsel, and other involved parties.
- Oversee high-volume discovery, including the collection, production, and review processes.
- Undertake legal and factual research as required.
- Summarize legal documents such as depositions, trial transcripts, and others.
- Provide onsite support at trials and hearings, as required.
- Prepare trial exhibits and notebooks for easy reference.
- Monitor multiple deadlines and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manne
- Leading strategic, continuous improvement, and transformation initiatives, ensuring timely and effective delivery
- Working with multiple development methodologies such as waterfall, iterative, and agile (scrum, kanban) to support project teams
- Building strong working relationships with executive sponsors, business owners, and stakeholders across the organization to manage expectations and project delivery
- Monitoring project performance and recommending changes to schedule, cost, or resource adjustments as required
- Managing project change requests that impact scope, schedule, and resources
- Directly or indirectly managing/mentoring team members in techniques such as leadership, methodology, tools, people, and communication skills
- Ensuring project resources follow established processes and contribute to strengthening internal tools, artifacts, and other governance aspects
- Leading and supporting in the facilitation of improvement methodology to diverse audiences, tailoring communication style and information to fit the audience
- Applying critical thinking skills to define practical solutions that align with strategic objectives
- Coordinating project planning, including resource, staff, supply, and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting, and team management.
- The candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of Life Insurance industry practices is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in Data Warehousing is essential.
- Proficiency in Salesforce Administration is necessary.
- Experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) is required.
- Holding a Project Management Detail Oriented (PMP) certification is required.
- Experience in the Financial Services sector is beneficial.
