Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all components of accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate payments are made.
- Regularly review and approve invoices and manage vendor relationships, adhering strictly to company policies.
- Take charge of fund-level syndications, which includes capital calls, investor reporting, and compliance.
- Manage fund-level distributions to ensure accurate and timely disbursements to investors.
- Lead the transition from our current accounting systems to the Yardi platform.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure seamless transition and integration of the new system.
- Train staff on the new system and develop procedures to optimize its use.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Proven experience as a Manager or Sr. Property Accountant for a minimum of 5 years
- Proficient in using BlackLine and Concur software
- Demonstrable understanding and experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
- Skilled in various accounting functions
- Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience in auditing and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Familiarity with billing functions and procedures
- Proficient in using Yardi property management software
