Robert Half is seeking a Network Administrator for a New Mexico based organizationThe Network Administrator is responsible for assuring the network and telecom needs are met through design, implementation and maintenance of the LAN/WAN. Primarily responsible for maintaining secure and efficient operations of all company networks, network-based equipment and systems. Supports all network and telecom equipment and cabling, including Wi-Fi, fiber, Ethernet, radio and copper. Works with multiple teams to provide technology solutions while promoting and exhibiting World Class Guest service to all team members and guests.ResponsibilitiesThis list of tasks is illustrative ONLY and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. It does not imply that all positions within the class perform all of the duties listed, nor does it necessarily list all possible duties that may be assigned.•Designs, installs and supports all networks and telecom LANs & WANs.•Orders and prices network, telecom, and cabling equipment.•Monitors, maintains, and ensures network and telecom resources are meeting performance, security standards, uptime, and effectiveness.•Serves as liaison for the organization with hardware and technical support vendors and service providers.•Provides basic network and telecom support training to IT staff.•Ensures all networks and telecom systems are available, when required, and takes proactive steps to achieve 100% uptime.•Ensures network and telecom devices are kept up to date with software/hardware revisions per manufacturer specifications.•Documents and maintains detailed technical inventories of all network and telecom hardware and software.•Responsible for backing up all network and telecom configurations and settings.•Responsible for network security, configuration and support of the Firewall(s), and overall data security of the IT department.•Reviews network security, with IT Management, to ensure IT standards and industry best practices are met on an ongoing basis.•Coordinates and ensures all physical cabling projects for the organization are completed and in compliance with standards.•Ensures open network ports are shutdown or disabled during downtime and monitors network device connectivity for unauthorized connectivity.•Coordinates and provides technical administration for telecom hardware/software.•Documents and controls all vendor supplied telecommunication circuits.•Occasionally performs other duties as assigned.
