Description
Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer in Madison, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks including networking with cloud platforms, managing wireless access points, and maintaining vendor relationships.
This is a Direct Hire role that will require a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
Handle networking tasks associated with cloud platforms and SaaS solutions.
Participate actively in incident response planning.
Conduct advanced level design, testing, and troubleshooting of IP WAN/LAN networks.
Manage enterprise-class wireless access point fleet.
Utilize network tools to analyze and optimize the performance of the network.
Implement proper firewall rules.
Handle advanced unified communications design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Maintain various ISP, telecommunications, hardware, and software vendor relationships.
Research and propose new technologies to improve current systems and security.
Responsible for proper DHCP and internal/external DNS configuration.
Requirements
Possess a strong proficiency in Meraki, demonstrating the ability to manage, troubleshoot, and optimize networks.
Exhibit expert knowledge of Network Switches, including setup, configuration, and maintenance.
Hold a valid Cisco CCNA certification, showcasing a solid understanding of networking concepts and practices.
Display extensive experience with FortiGate, particularly in the areas of firewall configurations, VPN setups, and network security.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of SD-WAN, including design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Possess experience with Nutanix, particularly in the areas of infrastructure management and virtualization.
Show proficiency in Hyper-V, including the ability to manage and configure virtual machines and virtual networks.
Have a solid understanding of DNS, including how to configure, troubleshoot, and manage DNS servers.
