We are hiring for a Network Systems Administrator to work onsite in North Charleston, SC. This candidate will work on escalated IT tickets including servers, network, backups, workstation, and software support. Strong customer service skills and technical acumen are required, and prior experience as an escalation point/ IT administrator is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Apply advanced problem-solving capacities to resolve intricate technical challenges
• Oversee server management, administration, and configuration tasks across Windows Server and Linux platforms
• Utilize proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
• Manage network configurations including routers, switches, and firewalls
• Demonstrate working knowledge of cloud services including AWS, Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Google Cloud
• Handle escalated issues from entry level technicians and provide effective solutions
• Engage in project scoping and design, ensuring successful delivery of complex projects
• Train and mentor entry level technicians, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment
• Leverage strong organizational skills for efficient workflow and project management
• Maintain relationships and negotiate with vendors, utilizing vendor management experience.
Requirements:
• 5 years in IT, preferably in a Tier 2 or Administrator role. Education and certifications (from Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, etc)
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar is required.
• Proficiency in Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) is expected.
• Capability to work with Microsoft Azure is essential.
• Experience with Firewall management is required.
• Knowledge of Network Switches, Routers, and Firewall management is a must.
• Ability to work in the MS Office 365 admin suite.
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
