We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager in Salinas, California. The role involves overseeing various operational aspects within our industry, with a particular focus on efficiency and compliance. Key responsibilities: • Oversee the efficient utilization of crew, personnel, and equipment to minimize operational costs• Analyze Harvest Packs against budget parameters • Conduct budgeting and negotiation for harvest operations by commodity• Coordinate the scheduling for harvesting, ensuring equipment is safe and in good working condition• Manage and adhere to DOT compliance regulations• Facilitate clear communication with all harvest personnel through Foremen to ensure work accuracy and timeliness• Enforce Harvest policies uniformly across the operations• Forecast daily pounds/units picked and ensure the completion of all work each day• Maintain sanitation and personal safety standards within the operations• Identify training needs of the team and provide necessary support• Supervise and motivate a team of workers, reviewing their performance periodically • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines within the operations• Collaborate with HR Department and H2A Department to meet recruitment needs• Ensure continuing compliance with all government requirements, including FDA, EPA, USDA, OSHA, DOL, and EEOC• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Food Safety Plan• Uphold adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards, and sanitation practices.For more information about this role please contact Scott Moore, Practice Director - Permanent Placement Division, Robert Half.
