Oracle AR Business Analyst

Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle AR Business Analyst on an interim basis for one of our environmental service clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Oracle AR data model and have a proven track record of success in analyzing and interpreting complex financial data. Strong experience with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and Power BI is a significant plus. This role will be instrumental in supporting key business decisions through the development and delivery of insightful reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex reports and dashboards using OTBI and Power BI to analyze key AR metrics, including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), Aging Analysis, Cash Application Analysis, Customer Credit Risk Analysis, Revenue Recognition Analysis.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of AR data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports and presentations to stakeholders, including senior management.
• Understand and leverage the Oracle AR data model to effectively extract and transform data for analysis.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Assist in the design and implementation of data integration processes.
• Analyze current AR processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide recommendations for process enhancements based on data analysis findings.
• Support the implementation of process improvements and system enhancements.
• Provide analytical support to various projects related to AR, such as system implementations, upgrades, and process re-engineering initiatives.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development of project plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
• Effectively communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactively identify and address stakeholder needs and concerns.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience as an Oracle AR Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of the Oracle AR data model and its underlying tables.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).
• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Experience with SQL and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
