We are actively hiring for a part-time Bookkeeper for a contract opportunity with an established organization in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This role operates within the auto industry, where you will be expected to maintain and manage financial records with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Answering and routing incoming phone calls to the appropriate staff member.
- Scheduling meetings and appointments while maintaining an up-to-date calendar.
- Organizing office meetings and accurately documenting minutes.
- Drafting, editing, and distributing professional emails, memos, and letters.
- Overseeing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger (GL) basic postings.
- Performing daily, weekly, and monthly finance reconciliations.
- Maintaining an organized filing system for easy and prompt retrieval of documents.
- Developing, updating, and executing relevant office procedures to streamline operations and facilitate compliance.
Requirements
Qualification and Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Previous experience in handling AP, AR, and GL.
- Familiarity with standard office equipment such as printers and fax machines.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and other relevant software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to be highly organized with excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize projects effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
