Responsibilities Include

• Operate docketing system, accurately creating and maintaining records for domestic and international patents.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of all docketed deadlines and actions, ensuring timely updates and compliance.
• Process and update systems based on communications received from the USPTO, clients, attorneys, foreign associates, and annuity service providers.
• Provide timely updates on docketing changes to relevant stakeholders in line with company policies.
• Collaborate with legal teams to ensure all patent-related deadlines are met without exceptions.
• Perform thorough quality reviews of docketing data to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
• Manage vendor instructions related to annuity payments and international patent deadlines to ensure timely processing.
• Stay informed on changes to patent laws, rules, and procedures that impact docketing processes.
• Generate detailed reports using PATTSY WAVE and Global IP Estimator to support operational needs and decision-making.
  
  
  

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe.
• College degree or business school training is desirable.
• Prior experience with patent preparation, prosecution, and/or IP docketing is a plus.
• Familiarity with the PATTSY WAVE docketing system is preferred.
• Knowledge of PCT Safe, ePCT, and Global IP Estimator is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a law firm and with patent docketing is preferred.
