Our hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our patients' financial experiences are managed with efficiency and professionalism.Key Responsibilities:Insurance Collections: Handle the billing and collection process for third-party payers, including government and commercial insurance clients. Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding claims to maximize hospital reimbursement.Appeals & Denials Management: Analyze and respond to insurance denials or underpayments by preparing and submitting accurate appeals or reconsideration packages. Work proactively to resolve issues that delay revenue cycle processes.Account Reconciliation: Reconcile patient accounts by reviewing account balances, payments, and adjustments to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies effectively.Patient Communication: Respond to patient inquiries regarding insurance claims, balances, and account status in a professional, compassionate, and patient-friendly manner.Work collaboratively with other departments, including billing, coding, and patient services, to identify and address account issues.
