Responsibilities
- Oversee the payroll process for approximately 50 employees ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Utilize Paychex and other accounting software systems for efficient payroll management
- Ensure all accounting functions are performed accurately and in a timely manner
- Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks as part of the job responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits to maintain the integrity of payroll data
- Perform bank reconciliations as part of the weekly tasks
- Maintain accurate records of all payroll and accounting activities
- Resolve any payroll-related inquiries that come up in the course of work.
The ideal Payroll Administrator candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree with Accounting or Finance Concentration.
Other requirements for the Payroll Administrator position include and are not limited to:
- 5 years payroll experience required
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite or related software
- Paychex experience HIGHLY preferred
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and taxes
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
