We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist at our location. The selected candidate will be a part of our team, and their primary duties will involve processing payrolls, managing timekeeping, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.Responsibilities:• Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for a diverse workforce that includes hourly, salaried, and union employees utilizing the ADP Workforce Now system• Manage timecards by reviewing entries, handling time-off requests, and resolving discrepancies in collaboration with department managers• Stay abreast of changes in federal, state, and local payroll regulations and ensure that payroll practices are in compliance with these laws• Accurately calculate and remit payroll taxes, including garnishments and other deductions, and prepare year-end tax documents like W-2s and 1099s• Compile payroll reports for various stakeholders including management, auditors, and regulatory agencies when required• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and detail oriented manner, providing the necessary support• Oversee updates and configurations within the ADP Workforce Now system to ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory changes.
