Payroll Specialist

We are offering a contract for a Payroll Specialist role in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry located in Newport News, Virginia, 23608-2028, United States. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be tasked with managing payroll duties for a large number of employees, utilizing software tools like Workday and UKG. You will also be expected to handle accounting functions, 401k - RRSP administration, and benefits functions.Responsibilities:• Manage bi-weekly payroll processing for a significant number of employees• Operate and maintain Workday and UKG payroll systems• Coordinate accounting functions related to payroll• Administer 401k - RRSP and other benefits related to payroll• Oversee full cycle payroll procedures• Handle garnishments related to payroll• Maintain accurate records of all payroll activities• Resolve any inquiries related to payroll• Utilize Excel for various payroll functions• Ensure all payroll activities adhere to regulatory standards.
