Description
We are looking for a skilled PC Technician to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this long-term part time contract role, you will play a key part in maintaining, deploying, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software systems. This position is ideal for a problem-solver with a passion for technology and a strong background in IT support.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance.
Provide support for hardware break/fix issues, including diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
Deploy and set up new equipment, including Wi-Fi access points and other related devices.
Perform upgrades and system refreshes, including migrating systems to Windows 11.
Manage and maintain user accounts and permissions using Active Directory.
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless deployment and support processes.
Document technical issues and resolutions to contribute to the knowledge base.
Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.
Provide responsive and detail-oriented customer service to end-users.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity issues.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware, including Dell technologies.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory for managing user accounts and permissions.
Experience with deploying and supporting systems running Windows 11.
Familiarity with setting up and troubleshooting wireless access points.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
