Procurement Director

Salary: $130000.00 to $140000.00 yearly

Description

We are looking to bring on board a Procurement Director in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. As a Procurement Director, you will be tasked with the creation and upkeep of a centralized procurement function, as well as the necessary infrastructure to carry out procurement activities. Your role will involve continuous collaboration with the leadership and purchasing staff of each business site, with a focus on achieving sustainable cost reductions and enhancing supplier accountability.

Responsibilities

• Establish and sustain a centralized procurement function
• Collaborate with business site leadership and purchasing staff for effective sourcing activities
• Implement strategies for sustainable cost reductions
• Improve supplier accountability and service levels
• Focus on total cost reductions for goods and services procured
• Enhance the quality and competitiveness of the supply base
• Partner with other leaders to negotiate customer contract provisions
• Safeguard the company's margins through effective negotiation strategies
• Use CRM and ERP solutions for efficient procurement management
• Apply knowledge of budget and buying processes, and global procurement practices.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience with CRM systems and their usage in a procurement setting.
• Deep understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and its application in the procurement process.
• Expertise in utilizing ERP Solutions to optimize procurement operations.
• Familiarity with the About Time software, and its application in managing procurement schedules.
• Proficiency in managing Budget Processes, particularly as they relate to procurement.
• Demonstrable experience in overseeing Buying Processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Strong Customer Service skills, with an ability to resolve disputes and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Ability to process and manage Invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Experience in Global Procurement, demonstrating an understanding of international trade regulations and customs.
• Proven experience in Procurement Management, with a track record of leading a procurement team to success.
