We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Product Owner in Remington, Indiana. The focus of this role is to lead the development of an internal tool by gathering requirements, setting priorities for the development team, and providing clear direction on features and functionality. The workplace is primarily remote, with occasional office visits as needed.
Responsibilities:
Translate product vision into actionable steps and ensure its successful delivery
Collaborate closely with the Agile development team to drive the product development process
Regularly assess project status and initiate progress, overcoming any challenges that arise
Conduct daily stand-up meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment within the team
Be available for occasional on-site work, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
Maintain a strong ownership mentality, making the right calls and driving outcomes
Lead the modernization process of an Excel-based system to an advanced internal estimation tool.
Requirements
Proven experience in the role of Product Owner or similar in an Agile Scrum environment.
Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in Agile Scrum methodologies.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong product ownership skills, including the ability to define and manage product vision, roadmap, and backlog.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver business objectives.
Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions based on data and metrics.
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time, even in high-pressure situations.
Proven record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
Willingness to continually learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
