We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled CAD Specialist with expertise in CentralSquare Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software to join our team. This critical role will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and effective utilization of our CentralSquare CAD system, ensuring its optimal performance in supporting public safety and emergency response teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CAD principles, a deep familiarity with CentralSquare CAD, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
System Administration & Maintenance: Maintain and administer the CentralSquare CAD system, including user account management, system configuration, database maintenance, and software updates.
Data Management: Manage and maintain the integrity of CAD data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility. This includes data entry, validation, and quality control.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to CAD users, troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and providing training on system functionality.
System Integration: Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of the CentralSquare CAD system with other related systems, such as records management systems (RMS) and mobile data terminals (MDTs).
Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the CentralSquare CAD system, including user manuals, training materials, and system configurations.
Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports and analyze CAD data to identify trends, improve operational efficiency, and support decision-making.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of system updates and modifications to ensure stability and functionality.
Training: Develop and deliver training programs to users on the effective use of the CentralSquare CAD system.
Vendor Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with CentralSquare, managing support requests, and staying informed about new features and updates.
Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest developments and best practices in CAD technology and CentralSquare CAD software.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Deep understanding of CentralSquare CAD functionalities, including mapping, call handling, resource management, and reporting.
Strong knowledge of database management principles and SQL.
Experience with system integration and data exchange between different systems.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and support users.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

CentralSquare CAD certifications are highly desirable.
