We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Production Planner in the manufacturing industry, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a Supply Chain Management Specialist, you will be playing a pivotal role in ensuring smooth production processes by managing tactical and master production schedules, interacting with various teams, and improving planning tools.Responsibilities:• Ensuring all customer demand requests are fulfilled while considering staffing, machine capacity, and production efficiencies.• Analyzing and planning site production schedules based on current and evolving business needs, site capacities, and special equipment or timing needs.• Collaborating with CPG partners, providing return plans, inventories, and other relevant metrics.• Participating in production planning calls and scheduling discussions with site operations.• Adjusting the production schedule in coordination with manufacturing leaders as necessary.• Keeping the team informed of any extenuating circumstances that could cause service failures.• Improving the tools and excel files used for tactical and master production schedules.• Assisting with day-to-day planning activities under the guidance of the senior production planner.• Taking on additional duties as required.
