We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the Aerospace industry for a Production Planner to join our team in Commerce, California. The Production Planner will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the production schedule, ensuring an efficient flow of parts through manufacturing, and effectively communicating with various departments to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and manage the production schedule to ensure timely and efficient flow of parts through manufacturing
- Review and take necessary actions on MRP exception messages
- Perform data entry tasks including move tickets, work orders, scrap and other manufacturing processes
- Contribute to planning and scheduling activities to meet customer delivery requirements and the company business plan
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and / or monthly reports using Syteline
- Follow up on released jobs as needed
- Collaborate with shipping and receiving departments to address any delays in sending and receiving products back from outside vendors
- Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are maintained for a safe working environment
- Utilize various systems and software including CRM, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and Cargowise for efficient and accurate planning and scheduling.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Production Planner role within the Aerospace industry is required
- Proven skills in Business Systems and Cargowise are essential
- Demonstrable experience with CRM is necessary
- Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required
- Knowledge of ERP Solutions is crucial
- Familiarity with About Time software is a plus
- Ability to perform Billing Functions effectively
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal are required
- Strong Customer Service skills are necessary
- Experience with Customs procedures within the Aerospace industry is beneficial
- Expertise in Production Planning and Production Scheduling is mandatory
- Prior experience in the Manufacturing Industry is essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Experience with SyteLine software is advantageous
