What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduler position at Robert Half?
Robert Half’s client, a very stable mid-size manufacturing company is seeking a Production Planner. This is a critical position within the organization and will report to the General Manager. Our client offers a strong benefits / compensation package, great work / life balance and amazing culture!
Essential Duties :
- Develop and manage production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity to meet deadlines and ensure efficient production flow.
- Coordinate and ensure accurate timing for inventory counts, ensuring that they are in sync with production schedules.
- Communicate daily with production, logistics, and supply chain teams to resolve any scheduling conflicts, delays, or changes.
- Manage all aspects of Shipping and Receiving.
- Work with Purchasing Department to insure raw materials are received and available for all normal production, trial production, and new product launches.
- AS Degree required, BS Degree preferred
- 4 years related production planning / scheduling and inventory experience
- Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact with various departments within the organization
- PLEX ERP experience highly preferred
