Description

Robert Half’s client in the health and wellness industry is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Proofreader to ensure the complete accuracy of printed and digital materials throughout the production process. The Proofreader will advise writers on matters of style, syntax, grammar, and usage to enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of communication. This role plays a key part in preventing costly mistakes, such as incorrect prices and contact information, while maintaining the integrity of the brand’s messaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Proofreading and Accuracy:
• Review and proofread product information (e.g., prices, offers, phone numbers, ingredients, item numbers, and warnings) for accuracy and consistency across print and digital materials.
• Identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies, communicating issues to the design, marketing, and brand teams for resolution.
• Ensure all corrections are made before materials are sent to print or published online.
• Content Quality and Grammar:
• Review all copy for grammar, syntax, spelling, and style consistency.
• Recommend and communicate revisions to writers and brand/marketing teams to improve the clarity and effectiveness of communication.
• Ensure all recommended revisions are implemented prior to final production.
• Final Approval and Proofs:
• Submit final approval for materials before they go to print or are published online.
• Review digital proofs of print materials and provide approval to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  
  
  

Requirements

ducation and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field (preferred).
• 2–5 years of professional proofreading experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.

• Strong commitment to producing high-quality work and the initiative to follow through.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to proofread quickly and accurately.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across business units.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
