The Permit Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the project management and sales teams by preparing permit applications, assisting with layouts, coordinating with various agencies, and managing permitting timelines. This position reports directly to the Lead Project Manager.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and ensure the accuracy and completeness of application packages and required documentation for submission to agencies, jurisdictions, boards, or committees.Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating and communicating with permitting agencies, ensuring timely responses and permit issuance aligned with the Lot Purchase schedule.Collaborate with clients and contractors to coordinate permitting timelines and requirements.Assist in creating floor and sprinkler system layouts and related engineering documents.Manage the appointment of Lien Agents, when applicable.Research and obtain property owner lists, rules, and regulatory requirements from agencies and jurisdictions to support permitting compliance.Work closely with internal project managers and team members to compile all required documentation and meet permitting deadlines.Track and report on the status of all permit applications, providing timely updates for both internal and external stakeholders.Conduct in-depth research to understand permitting regulations across various states and municipalities and provide support to permitting agencies in obtaining necessary documentation.Assist with project setup tasks, including organizing project folders, maintaining internal forms, and updating databases.Assemble and distribute project start-up packages to subcontractors and clients.Submit and retrieve building and utility permits across all municipalities.Address and resolve any permitting issues or delays that may arise.Perform additional duties as assigned.
