Qualifications and Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in public relations, including developing and implementing strategic PR/communications campaigns with measurable results.
- Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to craft concise, engaging messages that inspire action across digital platforms.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships with media, pitching and placing stories, and identifying media opportunities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize client needs, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
- Social media and digital marketing experience, including creating original content and designing graphics using Canva.
- Comfortable taking initiative and mentoring junior staff.
- Proficient in content management systems, social media platforms, e-newsletter creation, and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of video production, paid digital marketing initiatives, and website management.
