Key Responsibilities
Transaction Support & Documentation
- Draft, review, and revise commercial real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, deeds, and loan documents.
- Conduct due diligence on cases, including title and survey reviews, while identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Organize, compile, and manage transaction documents and digital files throughout the process.
- Prepare detailed closing binders and ensure post-closing documentation is complete and accurate.
Title & Survey Review
Coordinate and order title commitments, insurance policies, and property surveys.Analyze title documents and surveys to identify title objections, zoning issues, and other encumbrances.Collaborate with title companies to assist with resolving title-related concerns.Due Diligence Services
Perform due diligence, including document reviews related to zoning compliance, environmental reports, and property inspection results.Summarize lease agreements by preparing lease abstracts and summaries.Client & Vendor Engagement
Act as the primary liaison between attorneys, clients, title companies, brokers, and other parties involved in transactions.Coordinate all aspects of transaction closings to ensure deadlines and requirements are consistently met.Document Management & Compliance
Monitor critical dates related to transactions, such as inspection periods, lease expirations, and closing deadlines, ensuring nothing is overlooked.Maintain and organize corporate and real estate files in compliance with firm or company policies.Conduct legal research on zoning, land use, and property entitlements to ensure compliance with state and local laws.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification required.Minimum 3 years’ experience as a paralegal in the commercial real estate field.Proficient in legal document drafting, title review, and lease abstraction.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, attorneys, and vendors effectively.Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.What’s in It for You?
