About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated SAP Project Manager to lead the business side of this critical SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementation. Reporting to the overall Program Manager and the CFO, this individual will be responsible for overseeing eight Business Process Owners (BPOs) and ensuring alignment across the business throughout the entire SDLC. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record of managing complex SAP implementations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate organizational change.
Responsibilities:
- People and Process Ownership: Lead and collaborate closely with BPOs and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to drive business process alignment and adoption of the new SAP system.
- Project Execution: Manage the business side of the implementation across all phases, adhering to the established 2-year timeline and 6 go-live phases outlined in the project roadmap.
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate and align stakeholders from 12 different companies, ensuring seamless migration to the single SAP instance.
- Change Management: Guide the business through the change process, working in conjunction with a dedicated change management resource, to ensure successful adoption of the new system.
- Methodology Expertise: Utilize the SAP Activate Methodology to effectively manage the project lifecycle.
- Communication & Reporting: Provide regular updates to project leadership and stakeholders, including weekly status reports and contributions to SteerCo meetings.
- Challenge Management: Proactively identify and address potential challenges, including navigating the dynamics of a small, PE-backed company and effectively managing key stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2-5 full lifecycle SAP implementations
- Greenfield implementation experience
- Deep understanding of business processes and experience overseeing BPOs
- Proven ability to guide teams through change management initiatives
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and SAP Activate Methodology
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups
Desired Skills:
- Experience with SAP ALM for project management, risk/issue tracking, and reporting.
