We are providing a long term contract employment opportunity for a Scrum Master in the banking industry, located in Chicago, Illinois. As a Scrum Master, you will be facilitating agile methodology and scrum practices, managing IT projects, and promoting a collaborative team environment. This role will be hybrid in Chicago, IL.Responsibilities:• Advocate for a collaborative team environment that encourages creativity and innovation.• Serve as Scrum Master for multiple scrum teams, thus enhancing their capacity to efficiently deliver intricate IT projects.• Engage with stakeholders for project buy-in and participate in the negotiation of the project scope and timelines.• Implement and promote agile project management practices, including tracking progress, planning releases, and managing team performance.• Facilitate a variety of meetings, including sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, stakeholder meetings, and software demonstrations.• Support product owners in managing the product backlog, guiding the team, and facilitating a healthy intra-team dynamic concerning priorities and scope.• Identify and eliminate any obstacles to the scrum team's progress while promoting continuous improvement.• Ensure the team's execution and delivery to committed sprint work, maintaining the momentum of the initiative and upholding a sustainable pace of delivery.• Prepare and present reports on the progress and success of projects, ensuring visibility for stakeholders and senior management.• Coach and mentor team members in agile frameworks and practices.
